Football Recap: Sandhills Classical Christian Takes Down Ranked Liberty Christian Academy

Sandhills Classical Christian faced Liberty Christian Academy in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Lions strolled past the Heat with points to spare, taking the game 22-6. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 32-17 back in August.

On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Sandhills Classical Christian's defense and their four sacks. John Tuepker was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up two himself.

Sandhills Classical Christian has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 39.3 points over those games. As for Liberty Christian Academy, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-3.

As of now, neither Sandhills Classical Christian nor the Heat have any future games scheduled.
