Softball Recap: Stratford Comes Up Short

Thursday just wasn't the day for Stratford's offense. They lost 10-0 to the Marathon Red Raiders on Thursday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Red Raiders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 on Tuesday.

Stratford's loss dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Marathon, the win was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Stratford will face off against Newman Catholic at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Marathon, they will take on Amherst at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Red Raiders' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Falcons have averaged an impressive 7 runs per game this season.
