Baseball Recap: Horizon Comes Up Short

Fans were treated to a battle of the Hawks on Tuesday. Horizon fell 6-3 to Lake Minneola.

Horizon saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alex Galan, who scored a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Another was Jose Massanet, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Horizon's defeat dropped their record down to 11-7. As for Lake Minneola, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-5.

Horizon and Lake Minneola should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings. Horizon will challenge Seminole at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday up 291 places (172 vs. 463). Meanwhile, Lake Minneola (ranked 114th) will meet Dr. Phillips (ranked 317th) at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
