It's no surprise that national powerhouse Bishop Gorman is Silver State's biggest export.
Video: Dorian Thompson-Robinson Ultimate Highlights
See the quarterback who the Gaels will look upon to keep Gorman's winning ways on track.
It should be no surprise that Bishop Gorman is Nevada's most dominant football program since the MaxPreps era began in 2006. The national powerhouse doesn't merely win state titles (nine if you're counting at home), but has been in the national title hunt in recent memory. The last time the Gaels didn't finish first in the Silver State? You'll have to go back to 2008 for a No. 3 ranking.
The Las Vegas power enters 2017 with the second-longest active high
school football winning streak at 54. The Gaels have won eight
consecutive state titles and have a chance to run the table again in
2017.
Dorian Thompson-Robinson
replaces Tate Martell at quarterback and is the No. 3 rated dual-threat
quarterback in the 2018 class despite never making a start in his
career.
Here is how the points break down:
1. 20 for a state title
2. 10 for state championship game appearance
3. Other points are based on where a team finished in the final
MaxPreps Nevada Football Computer Rankings presented by the Army National Guard. For example, if a team finished No. 1 overall, it would receive 25 points. If it finished 25th overall, the team would get one point. No points are awarded if the team did not finish in the Top 25.
