The Bermudian Springs Eagles will face off against the Biglerville Canners at 4:15 p.m. on Friday. Bermudian Springs is coming into the contest hot, having won their last 12 games.
Bermudian Springs' pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They came out on top against Hanover by a score of 3-0.
The result came thanks to Brayden Heller's shutout, as he gave up just three hits and racked up ten Ks.
At the plate, Dylan Hubbard was excellent, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Biglerville made easy work of York County Tech on Wednesday and carried off an 11-4 victory. The Canners might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by seven runs or more this season.
Jared Hollabaugh made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched 6.2 innings while giving up four earned runs off seven hits. Hollabaugh was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in May of 2024.
In other batting news, Biglerville let Gavin Althoff and Parker Black run wild. Althoff got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI, while Black went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Those two stolen bases gave Althoff a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Aiden Hoffman, who went 1-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Bermudian Springs pushed their record up to 13-1 with the win, which was their eighth straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Biglerville, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-7.
Bermudian Springs took their victory against Biglerville when the teams last played back in March by a conclusive 19-6 score. Do the Eagles have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Canners turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
