Softball Recap: Dripping Springs Finds Playoff Glory Versus Cedar Ridge

It's playoff time, and Dripping Springs had no trouble coming through when it counted. They put the hurt on the Cedar Ridge Raiders with a sharp 8-1 victory on Saturday. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won 16 games by six runs or more so far this season.

Sadie Bradford spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on three hits.

On the hitting side, Lorelei Gamble was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one triple, one double, and one RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April. Taylor Crain was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and one run.

Dripping Springs has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 31-9-1 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games. As for Cedar Ridge, their defeat dropped their record down to 25-6.

As of now, neither Dripping Springs nor the Raiders have any future games scheduled.
