Grant Park's game last Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They never let the Illinois Lutheran Chargers get on the board and left with a 17-0 win. With that victory, the Dragons brought their scoring average up to 8.8 runs per game.

Brody Litton and Joey McGinley were a major factor no matter where they played. On the mound, Litton pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, McGinley tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. At the plate, Litton scored a run while going 1-for-1, while McGinley scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. That stolen base marked the first that McGinley snagged this season.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jayden Kaack, who went 1-for-2 with three RBI and one double. Brayden Heldt also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Grant Park was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .429. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Illinois Lutheran only posted a batting average of .200.

The win got Grant Park back to even at 2-2. As for Illinois Lutheran, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Grant Park will welcome Cissna Park at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Illinois Lutheran, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on St. Anne at 4:30 p.m. on April 7.
