Softball Game Preview: Vernonia Loggers vs. Knappa Loggers

For the second straight game, Vernonia will face off against Knappa. Vernonia will head out to take on Knappa at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Vernonia has given up an average of 14.3 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Vernonia came up short against Knappa on Tuesday, falling 16-4. Vernonia has struggled against Knappa recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost meeting.

Julia Busch made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. That double marked the first that she has hit this season.

The victory (which was Knappa's third in a row) raised their record to 8-2. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.7 runs over those games. As for Vernonia, their loss dropped their record down to 2-8.
