Softball Recap: Carver Drops Season-High Score on R.J. Reynolds

Carver had lost 17 straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Wednesday they dropped their record down to 0-8 to make it 18. They lost 18-4 to the R.J. Reynolds Demons. On the bright side, the four- run effort marked the Yellowjackets' highest-scoring match to date.

As for R.J. Reynolds, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-17. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 20.0 runs over those games.

For R.J. Reynolds' part, Aalayah Kimbrough was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with four stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Ja'Miyah Sides-Conrad, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with seven stolen bases and four runs.

Carver does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for R.J. Reynolds, they will be playing at home against South Davidson at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Demons' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Wildcats have averaged an impressive 10.5 runs per game this season.
