San Juan has been on a difficult stretch since their win on January 11. They and the Rio Vista Rams finished up their game with a 2-2 draw on Tuesday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Spartans as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Martin Vargas was the only thing that stood between San Juan and a shutout considering he scored both of San Juan's goals, bringing his season total up to ten goals.

San Juan's draw gives them a new season record of 3-9-3. Meanwhile, Rio Vista's record is now 3-8-2.

San Juan has already played their next contest, a 1-0 defeat against Mesa Verde on the 30th. As for Rio Vista, they will look to defend their home pitch on February 4th against Woodland Christian at 6:00 p.m.
