Baseball Game Preview: Sotomayor WILDCATS vs. Steele Knights

The Sotomayor WILDCATS will take on the Steele Knights at 10:00 a.m. on Friday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Sotomayor's tournament run continued when they took on Sterling on Thursday. Sotomayor sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over Sterling.

Sotomayor's win was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Wes Guardiola, who scored a run while going 1-for-2. Evan Fine also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Meanwhile, Steele earned a 6-2 victory over Sterling on Thursday.

Sotomayor's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Steele, their victory bumped their record up to 2-3-2.

Sotomayor was able to grind out a solid win over Steele in their previous meeting back in March of 2023, winning 5-2. Will Sotomayor repeat their success, or does Steele have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
