There's no place like home for Seventy-First, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They blew past the Purnell Swett Rams 60-40 on Thursday. The Falcons have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight games by 20 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Seventy-First to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jewel Gully, who dropped a double-double with 20 points and 13 rebounds. Gully also grabbed five steals, which is notable because Seventy-First is 10-2 when she posts at least three steals, but 5-6 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Alani-Skye Wilkerson, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and ten boards.

Seventy-First smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 35 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in 46 consecutive matchups dating back to last season.

Seventy-First pushed their record up to 15-8 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Purnell Swett, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost 11 of their last 12 contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 4-19 record this season.

Seventy-First has already played their next game, a 62-37 win against Douglas Byrd on the 14th. As for Purnell Swett, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 46-33 victory against Lumberton on the 14th.
