Independence came into Tuesday's game having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They came out on top against the Liberty Raiders by a score of 55-45 on Tuesday. This was a revenge game for the Patriots: when they faced off against the Raiders last Friday, they had to take a 58-50 loss.

Liberty lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Liam Daniels, who posted 15 points. The contest was his fourth in a row with at least 15 points. Another player making a difference was Jadon Acord, who earned seven points along with nine rebounds and three steals.

Independence's victory bumped their record up to 6-12. As for Liberty, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-12.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Independence will square off against Greenbrier East at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Greenbrier East will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something Independence surely won't give up without a fight. As for Liberty, they will take on Midland Trail at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Liberty is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50.8 points per game this season.
