Volleyball Game Preview: Faith Academy Flames vs. Live Oak Classical Falcons

Faith Academy is 2-8 against Live Oak Classical since October of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Flames will host the Falcons at 6:00 p.m. Faith Academy is coming into the match hot, having won their last eight games.

On Thursday, Faith Academy got the win against Lutheran by a conclusive 3-0.

The final score came out to 25-5, 25-14, 25-19.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Live Oak Classical, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over San Juan Diego Catholic on Thursday.

The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-5, 25-17.

Faith Academy better focus on containing Lilley Nicholas and Harper Murphy as the pair were huge in Live Oak Classical's win. Nicholas had 13 digs, while Murphy had seven digs.

Faith Academy's victory bumped their record up to 23-6. As for Live Oak Classical, their win bumped their record up to 7-15.

Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Tuesday's contest: Faith Academy has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 10.2 aces per game. However, it's not like Live Oak Classical struggles in that department as they've been averaging 6.6 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
