Volleyball Recap: Arab Falls Despite Big Games from Kayden Gronczniak and Lela Hipp + How To Watch

Arab suffered their biggest loss since September 18th on Thursday. They came up short against the Guntersville Wildcats, falling 3-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Knights in their meetings with the Wildcats: they've now lost four in a row.

While Arab was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Guntersville's winning margin in every set. The final score came out to 25-14, 25-15, 25-17.

Arab's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Lela Hipp, who had 11 assists and six digs, and Kayden Gronczniak, who had 11 digs.

Caroline Canady was the offensive standout of the matchup as she had nine digs and two aces. That's the most aces she has posted over her last ten contests.

Arab's defeat dropped their record down to 24-22. As for Guntersville, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 20 of their last 21 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 42-4 record this season.

Arab will take on Scottsboro at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Guntersville, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Meek on the 4th.
