Basketball Recap: Bradshaw Mountain's Higher State Rank on Full Display on Saturday

The third road contest was the charm for Bradshaw Mountain, as they earned their first road win of the season. They came out on top against the Benson Bobcats by a score of 53-44 on Saturday. Given the Bears' advantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 100th, while the Bobcats are ranked 281st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Benson's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Domonik Villa, who posted 13 points. Another player making a difference was Kellen Deskins, who put up five points and seven rebounds.

Bradshaw Mountain is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a massive bump to their 9-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.7 points per game. As for Benson, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-13.
