Basketball Recap: Luke Lindman's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Bloomington North over Columbus North

Bloomington North was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Columbus North Bull Dogs, falling 66-41. While losing is never fun, the Cougars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 163rd, while the Bull Dogs are ranked 25th).

Several Cougars players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Luke Lindman, who posted 13 points. Caleb Fishel was another key player, putting up 14 points and four steals.

Caleb Ferguson was his usual excellent self, going 5-for-10 to rack up 18 points along with six assists and three steals for Columbus North. Ferguson is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed three or more in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Max Coomes, who scored 12 points.

Bloomington North's loss dropped their record down to 6-14. As for Columbus North, the victory was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 17-3.

Bloomington North has already played their next game, a 70-51 win against Floyd Central on the 22nd. As for Columbus North, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 54-52 victory against Franklin Community on the 22nd.
