Recap: Fairfield Central Griffins vs. Keenan Raiders
The Fairfield Central Griffins lost against the Keenan Raiders back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Fairfield Central was outmatched by Keenan on the road and fell 79-51. Fairfield Central has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Fairfield Central's loss came despite strong showings from Jazzlyn McMillan and Jordyn Adams. McMillan scored 21 points along with two steals, while Adams scored 21 points along with six rebounds and two steals. That was a full 41.2% of Fairfield Central's points, marking the seventh time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Fairfield Central's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 10-12. As for Keenan, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 14-8.
Fairfield Central will be playing at home against Keenan at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Keenan knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three contests -- so hopefully Fairfield Central likes a good challenge. As for Keenan, they will head out on the road to challenge Fairfield Central at 6:30 p.m. Hopefully Fairfield Central focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 26 on Tuesday.
