Basketball Recap: Fletcher Takes a Loss

If Fletcher was riding high fresh off their 54-23 takedown of Temple last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Fletcher Wildcats lost 58-34 to the Empire Bulldogs on Saturday. The Wildcats haven't had much luck with the Bulldogs recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.

Fletcher's defeat dropped their record down to 9-14. As for Empire, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 9-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fletcher will square off against Cement at 7:30 p.m. on February 10th. As for Empire, they will head out to challenge Healdton at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Empire's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four matchups.
