Football Recap: Edgewood Piles Up the Points Against Harford Tech

Edgewood lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Harford Tech, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Friday's match. The Rams blew past the Cobras, posting a 46-7 victory. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 33-0.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Edgewood to victory, but perhaps none more so than Michael Robinson, who threw for 156 yards and four touchdowns while completing 83.3% of his passes, and also rushed for 38 yards and one TD. The dominant performance also gave Robinson a new career-high in passer rating (163.2). Another back making a difference was Jayden Harvin, who gained 105 total yards and two touchdowns.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Edgewood was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 203 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 152 rushing yards in ten consecutive games dating back to last season.

Despite the defeat, Harford Tech saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Chase Baldwin rushed for 131 yards and one score.

Edgewood's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Harford Tech, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Coming up, Edgewood will take on Perryville at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Harford Tech, they will challenge North Harford at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
