Volleyball Recap: Bishop O'Dowd Find Success

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Bishop O'Dowd and Berkeley meet (five straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Tuesday. The Dragons walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Yellowjackets. The Dragons have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Yellowjackets, too.

Bishop O'Dowd walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the second set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-8, 17-25, 25-20.

Despite the loss, Berkeley saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Stella Chen-McDermott had six digs and two aces. Chen-McDermott is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last four games she's played.

Bishop O'Dowd now has a winning record of 13-12. As for Berkeley, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three matches and leaves them with a 6-6 record.
