Basketball Recap: Viroqua Takes a Loss

Viroqua lost against West Salem back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Viroqua Blackhawks took a blow against the West Salem Panthers, falling 98-57. While losing is never fun, the Blackhawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 356th, while the Panthers are ranked 47th).

Viroqua has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season. As for West Salem, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 11-3.

Viroqua has already played their next game (against Arcadia), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. West Salem wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 72-43 loss against Fox Valley Lutheran on the 25th.
