Basketball Recap: Buckingham Charter Comes Up Short

Buckingham Charter was the 52-35 winner over Sacramento Country Day when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Buckingham Charter Knights fell 74-61 to the Sacramento Country Day Cavaliers on Friday. The Knights' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it four in a row.

Sacramento Country Day found their leader in sophomore Ryan Scripps, who dropped a triple-double on 24 points, 15 boards, and 12 assists. Those 12 assists set a new season-high mark for Scripps. Yuvraj Dhillon was another key player, going 6 of 10 en route to 14 points and six rebounds.

Buckingham Charter's loss dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Sacramento Country Day, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-10.

Buckingham Charter will be playing in front of their home fans against Cristo Rey at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
