Kedar Clarke and Qua'D Cheatham provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Montclair Kimberley Academy. The connection went for 59 yards, the longest such play in Super Essex - Colonial this season.
Weequahic extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating the Cougars, 33-0. The win marks fifth in a row for the the Indians.
Weequahic's dynamic duo of Clarke and Cheatham proved tough for Montclair Kimberley Academy to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Clarke threw for 230 yards and 3 touchdowns and Cheatham had 122 yards receiving. Jerrell Murray helped Weequahic's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 57 yards.
Cedar Grove's Joe Slattery and Paul Rufo led the league in both passing and receiving yards. 6-1 quarterback Slattery has thrown for 1,252 yards this season, while Rufo has 27 catches for 591 yards. Brian Johnson-Logan's team's Alkadair Ports leads the league in rushing yards with 532.
At the moment, the Panthers are in second, while Verona is in third.
The Indians took down Luke Harris' team 33-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Clarke ran for 35 yards in the win.
