Softball Recap: East Palestine's Winning Streak Snapped at Four Games

It was a good run, but East Palestine unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 13-8 hit to the loss column at the hands of the David Anderson Blue Devils. The Bulldogs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Blue Devils earlier this season, when they won 7-6.

Kennedy Andre was huge no matter where she played even without the win. On the mound, she pitched 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Andre was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

In other batting news, Taylor Foster was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI and one run.

East Palestine's loss dropped their record down to 10-9. As for David Anderson, their victory bumped their record up to 9-14.

East Palestine didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 10-7 defeat against Southern on the 10th. As for David Anderson, they will challenge Brookfield at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
