Baseball Recap: Fletcher Wins Going Away Against Central

Fletcher never got on the board in their matchup last Thursday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Central on Friday. They blew past the Central Bronchos 11-2. Considering the Wildcats have won four matchups by more than seven runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Rayce Stoll, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3. Another player making a difference was Morgan Harrington, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

Fletcher's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Looking ahead, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Fletcher Wildcats challenge Sterling Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Fletcher's pitching crew has only allowed 3.4 runs per game this season, so Sterling's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Central, they will face off against Empire at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
