Soccer Recap: West Fork Takes a Loss

West Fork was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the Goose Creek Memorial Patriots. While losing is never fun, the Gators can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 397th, while the Patriots are ranked 85th).

West Fork's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6-1. As for Goose Creek Memorial, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-1-1.

West Fork didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next matchup, a 6-0 loss against Barbers Hill on the 16th. Goose Creek Memorial has also already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Cypress Ridge on the 16th.
