Volleyball Recap: Albany Comes Up Short

Albany was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Mission Bay Buccaneers.

Brynn Sloan was the offensive standout of the matchup as she had 13 digs and one assist.

Albany now has a losing record of 13-14. As for Mission Bay, their win bumped their record up to 18-11.

Albany wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Flagstaff on the 10th. As for Mission Bay, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Faith Lutheran on the 10th.
