The Cypress Lakes Spartans fell victim to the Cypress Falls Eagles's stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 3-0 walloping at the hands of the Eagles. It was the first time this season that Cypress Lakes let down their fans at home.
Cypress Lakes' defeat dropped their record down to 8-4-3. As for Cypress Falls, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 12-0-2.
Cypress Lakes will head out on the road to face off against Cypress Woods at 7:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Cypress Lakes' offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end. As for Cypress Falls, they will be playing at home against Langham Creek at 7:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Cypress Falls is not getting complacent considering they own a much higher rank in Texas (they are ranked 23rd, while Langham Creek is ranked 415th).
