Soccer Game Preview: Little Elm vs. Guyer

Little Elm is 2-7 against Guyer since February of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Little Elm Lobos will challenge the Guyer Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Little Elm fell victim to Hebron and their airtight defense on Friday. They came up short against the Hawks, falling 5-0. While losing is never fun, the Lobos can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 133rd, while the Hawks are ranked 11th).

Meanwhile, Guyer hadn't done well against Marcus recently (they were 0-3 in their previous four matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Guyer came out on top in a nail-biter against Marcus, sneaking past 1-0.

This is the second loss in a row for Little Elm and nudges their season record down to 8-10. As for Guyer, their victory bumped their record up to 11-5.

Little Elm suffered a grim 4-0 defeat to Guyer in their previous matchup back in February. Can Little Elm avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
