Volleyball Recap: Cy-Fair Takes a Loss

Cy-Fair suffered their biggest defeat since September 19th on Tuesday. They lost 3-0 to the Fort Bend Austin Bulldogs. The Bobcats have struggled against the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Macie Caramanica paced Cy-Fair's offense, picking up eight kills. Caramanica got some help from Giselle Barbosa and her ten assists. London Hart controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Leading Fort Bend Austin to victory were Bella Garza and Nina Paulino. Garza had 25 digs and three aces, while Paulino had 16 digs and three aces. That's the most digs Paulino has posted since back in September.

Cy-Fair's loss dropped their record down to 21-20. As for Fort Bend Austin, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-20 record this season.

Cy-Fair has already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Bellaire on the 30th. As for Fort Bend Austin, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Shadow Creek on the 30th.
