Recap: Cedartown Bulldogs vs. Rockmart Yellowjackets
After a string of three wins, the Cedartown Bulldogs's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. Their rough 80-60 defeat to Rockmart might stick with them for a while. Cedartown has not had much luck with Rockmart recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Treylin Davis was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 28 points and 16 rebounds for Rockmart. Davis hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. Tristan Anderson was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with 11 rebounds and three steals.
Cedartown's loss dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Rockmart, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 12-0.
Cedartown will be playing in front of their home fans against Heard County at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Heard County is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses. As for Rockmart, they will head out on the road to face off against Fannin County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Fannin County will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings (they are ranked 349th, while Rockmart is ranked 80th).
