Basketball Recap: Midlakes Takes a Loss

Midlakes was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were dealt a 68-37 defeat at the hands of the Wayne Eagles. While losing is never fun, the Screaming Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 592nd, while the Eagles are ranked 41st).

Midlakes' loss dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Wayne, they pushed their record up to 15-1 with the victory, which was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Midlakes has already played their next contest (against Palmyra-Macedon), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Wayne will face off against Newark at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
