Preview: Beatrice vs. Ralston
Beatrice will look to defend their home turf on Friday against Ralston at 7:00 PM. If you head out to watch the game, expect to stay the whole 48 minutes : the MaxPreps state rankings predict a close match.
Beatrice came within a touchdown against Plattsmouth last week, but wound up with a 7-17 loss. Beatrice got a solid performance out of junior Andrew Mahoney, who rushed for 43 yards and 1 touchdown; unfortunately, it just wasn't enough for the win.
Meanwhile, Ralston simply couldn't be stopped, as they easily beat South Sioux City 42-6.
Ralston's victory lifted them to 2-0 while Beatrice's loss dropped them down to 0-2. The Beatrice defense had it out for the quarterback last game and accrued 5 sacks, so hopefully Ralston's offensive line has put in some good practice this past week in preparation for the matchup.
