Basketball Recap: Eagle Pass Comes Up Short

Eagle Pass was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 16th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost to the Sam Houston Hurricanes on the road by a 65-49 margin. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1340th, while the Hurricanes are ranked 442nd).

Eagle Pass' loss dropped their record down to 0-14. As for Sam Houston, the win got them back to even at 6-6.

Coming up, Eagle Pass will be home for the holidays to greet Somerset at 2:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Sam Houston, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against SA Roosevelt at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday.
