Basketball Recap: Horizon Hawks vs. Winter Park Wildcats
After some red-hot attacks on offense in their last three games, Horizon finally came back down to earth on Tuesday. They had to suffer through a 54-20 loss at the hands of the Winter Park Wildcats. The contest marked the Hawks' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.
Several Hawks players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Bradley Webb, who posted nine points and seven rebounds.
Horizon's loss dropped their record down to 1-20. As for Winter Park, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season.
Horizon and Winter Park could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings. Horizon (ranked 575th) will meet Harmony (ranked 99th) at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Similarly, Winter Park will face off against Evans at 7:00 p.m. on Friday down 42 places (51 vs. 9).
