Soccer Game Preview: East Chambers vs. Terry

The East Chambers Buccaneers will look to take advantage of their home pitch for the first time this season as they take on the Terry Rangers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. East Chambers will be coming into the matchup with an undefeated record on the line.

East Chambers' defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Saturday. They came out on top against Bridge City by a score of 2-0. The win was all the more spectacular given the Buccaneers' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 137th, while the Cardinals are ranked 23rd).

Meanwhile, while it was all tied up 0-0 at halftime, Terry was not quite Kingwood's equal in the second half on Friday. They fell just short of the Mustangs by a score of 1-0. Having soared to a lofty four goals in the game before, the Rangers' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Terry was without their leading scorer, Runyambo Muco, in Friday's contest. With Muco sitting this one out, Jesus Rendon got some extra time on the pitch (80 vs. his season average of 55.6).

Having lost for the first time this season, Terry fell to 6-1-1. As for East Chambers, their victory bumped their record up to 8-0-1.
