Baseball Preview: Richmond Christian Warriors vs. Grace Christian School Kings

The Richmond Christian Warriors will square off against the Grace Christian School Kings at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

While Richmond Christian's victory against The Carmel School wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Warriors narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Wildcats 7-5. The victory was some much needed relief for the Warriors as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Kelsey Smith was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out nine batters over 6.1 innings while giving up just two earned (and three unearned) runs off five hits. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 5.2 strikeouts per game. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.
