As for Kofa, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-9 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.2 runs over those games.
On Kofa's side, they got a great performance from Jesus Villa as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over 5.1 innings pitched. Villa has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Julio Reina and Ryan Rosas did most of the damage at the plate: Reina went a perfect 4-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI, while Rosas went 3-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double. That's the most hits Reina has posted since back in March of 2025. Another player making a difference was Ozzie Ortiz, who went 2-for-3 with two runs.
