Softball Recap: Rancho Dominguez's Undefeated Season over After Four Games

After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last three matchups, Rancho Dominguez finally came back down to earth on Thursday. They lost 20-0 to the Carson Colts. The defeat continues a trend for the Lobos in their meetings with the Colts: they've now lost eight in a row.

Having lost for the first time this season, Rancho Dominguez fell to 3-1. As for Carson, their victory was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-0-1.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Rancho Dominguez is set to face off against their familiar foe Gardena at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Carson will challenge rival San Pedro at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Carson 2.2, San Pedro 3.5) so any runs scored will be well earned.
