Preview: Creekside Knights vs. Nease Panthers

Creekside is on a four-game streak of home wins, while Nease is on a four-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The pair will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 25th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Creekside will be strutting in after a win while Nease will be coming in after a loss.

Creekside posted their biggest victory since November 28, 2023 on Friday. They blew past Oakleaf, posting a 46-19 win at home. Given Creekside's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 123rd, while Oakleaf is ranked 266th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Creekside found their leader in underclassman Presley Brinkley, who scored 15 points along with four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Brinkley has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Cami Waters, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 11 rebounds.

Nease suffered their closest loss yet this season on Tuesday. They fell just short of Bartram Trail by a score of 40-37.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from McKenna Owens, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds and two steals. Abilgail Robinson was another key contributor, scoring six points along with three steals.

Creekside now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Nease, their loss dropped their record down to 11-10.

Creekside couldn't quite finish off Nease when the teams last played back in December of 2022 and fell 31-29. Will Creekside have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the action for a full breakdown of the game and more basketball content.
