Softball Game Preview: Taconic Hills Titans vs. Schalmont Sabres

For the second straight game, Taconic Hills will face off against Schalmont. The Titans will take on the Sabres at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Taconic Hills 1.3, Schalmont 2.1) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Taconic Hills fell victim to Schalmont and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They fell just short of the Sabres by a score of 2-0. The matchup marked the first time this season in which the Titans were not able to get on the board.

Kaylin Brazie spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on four hits and racked up ten Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than nine strikeouts any time she's pitched this season.

The win (which was Schalmont's fifth in a row) raised their record to 11-1. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 5.2 runs across that stretch. As for Taconic Hills, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 6-1.
