Football Recap: Hebron Christian Takes a Loss

Hebron Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 13th straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Lee Academy Cougars, falling 44-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Eagles of the 44-6 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Hayden Wallace threw for 64 yards on four of nine attempts. Ethan Sappington was his top target, picking up 64 receiving yards.

Hebron Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Lee Academy, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hebron Christian will take on Humphreys Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles will need to watch out since the Rebels have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season. As for Lee Academy, they will square off against Deer Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
