Recap: Harvard Cardinals vs. Wilcox-Hildreth Falcons
The Harvard Cardinals''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fifth straight loss. They were outmatched by Wilcox-Hildreth at home and fell 66-16. Harvard was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 58-8.
Despite the loss, Harvard had strong showings from Lathem Schumm, who rushed for 90 yards and a touchdown, and Eric Villalbaso, who rushed for 53 yards.
Dagan Ortgiesen was the offensive standout of the contest as he threw for 83 yards and three touchdowns while completing 100% of his passes. Graiden Ritner also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
Harvard's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Wilcox-Hildreth, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-1.
Harvard does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Wilcox-Hildreth is on the road again on Friday and play against Garden County at 5:00 p.m. on October 27th. Garden County is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
