Basketball Recap: Exeter Takes a Loss

After flying high against Verona last Saturday, Exeter came back down to earth. The Exeter Tigers took a 38-34 hit to the loss column at the hands of the School of the Ozarks Patriots. The Tigers haven't had much luck with the Patriots recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

Josiah Martin was a one-man wrecking crew for School of the Ozarks as he went 5 of 8 on his way to 17 points and four steals. That's the most points Martin has posted since back in January. The team also got some help courtesy of Scott Carswell, who posted six points and seven rebounds.

Exeter's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for School of the Ozarks, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

Exeter will face off against Sarcoxie at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for School of the Ozarks, they will take on Pleasant Hope at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
