Volleyball Recap: University Takes a Loss

It was a Battle of the Birds when University challenged Academy of Science and Innovation on Wednesday. The Hawks took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Ravens. The Hawks haven't had much luck with the Ravens recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-17, 14-25, 25-21.

Nehae'Vah Armstrong was the offensive standout of the contest as she had 17 digs. That's the most digs she has posted over her last seven matches. Anna Jae Clarke also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

University's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Academy of Science and Innovation, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-4.

University will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on New Britain at 5:00 p.m. on the 22nd. As for Academy of Science and Innovation, they will welcome Academy of International Studies at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
