Soccer Game Preview: Bledsoe County vs. Upperman

The Bledsoe County Warriors will venture away from home to challenge the Upperman Bees at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Bledsoe County's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for four straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Bledsoe County managed to keep up with Sequatchie County until halftime on Tuesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Warriors came up short against the Indians, falling 3-0.

Meanwhile, Upperman hadn't done well against Stone Memorial recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Bees put the hurt on the Panthers with a sharp 9-1 win. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for Upperman's offense, which had struggled in the games prior.

Bledsoe County's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Upperman, their victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 4-5.

Bledsoe County might still be hurting after the 5-2 defeat they got from Upperman in their previous matchup back in March. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Warriors were down 4-0.
