Preview: Kimball Knights vs. South Oak Cliff Bears
Kimball is 0-10 against South Oak Cliff since January of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Kimball Knights will head out on the road to square off against the South Oak Cliff Bears at 7:30 p.m. Kimball has now lost eight straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 1.
Kimball suffered their biggest loss yet this season last Wednesday. They took a serious blow against White, falling 61-6. While losing is never fun, Kimball can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1452nd, while White is ranked 252nd).
Meanwhile, South Oak Cliff's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their sixth straight loss. They suffered a tough 47-25 loss at the hands of Molina.
Kimball's loss was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-9. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 16.9 points per game. As for South Oak Cliff, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-14.
Kimball came up short against South Oak Cliff in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, falling 53-46. Can Kimball avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
