Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Highland Tech Rams 60-20. Given the Gryphons' advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 153rd, while the Rams are ranked 486th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Brooklyn Twitty out in front who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds. Twitty is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last eight games she's played. Another player making a difference was Samara Jones, who posted 16 points along with five boards and four steals.

Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy has been performing well recently as they've won 12 of their last 15 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season. As for Highland Tech, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-13.

Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy will take on Shelby at 5:00 p.m. on February 11th. As for Highland Tech, they will venture away from home to challenge Cherryville at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
