Basketball Game Preview: New Mexico School for the Deaf Roadrunners vs. Des Moines Demons

The New Mexico School for the Deaf Roadrunners will head out to square off against the Des Moines Demons at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Des Moines took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on New Mexico School for the Deaf, who comes in off a win.

New Mexico School for the Deaf saw some tournament action on Saturday. They enjoyed a cozy 53-37 win over California School for the Deaf. Given the Roadrunners' advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 430th in New Mexico, while the Eagles are ranked 1313th in California), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Tyler Todorovic was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 25 points and ten rebounds. Santiago Lopez was another key player, putting up 13 points and three steals.

Meanwhile, Des Moines came up short against Felt on Friday, falling 57-31. The contest marked the Demons' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

The victory made it two in a row for New Mexico School for the Deaf and bumps their season record up to 6-5. As for Des Moines, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season.
